In the vast city of Hanoi, an endless array of hostels serves as a home for travelers seeking adventure in the iconic Vietnam. The first sentence of our kickoff meeting was: “There are so many ‘Hanoi Backpackers’ scattered around the city—laughs—we need this to be the first choice for backpackers.”

Exploring a country, a city, and a hostel like this offers infinite storytelling possibilities. Hanoi carries a chaotic poetry that captivates and pulls you in—closer to the city, to its people, to an experience that inevitably changes you. The hostel allows this intense connection to unfold among like-minded travelers. Over three months of working on this project, I witnessed friendships forming, groups planning new adventures together, and bonds that have lasted beyond their time in Hanoi—even into 2025.

This intimate and social adventure, one that seems to happen only in Vietnam, was at the heart of the content strategy. Raw, unfiltered, and minimally edited, the visuals captured the magic of backpacking life—never-ending nights, hungover mornings, the saving grace of hostel breakfasts, and slow walks through the city.
